From their point of view
From the start Adricta had the most unique species. As it was the first planet to house inhabitants, it has a long and complicated history - that is also fairly fascinating. If this was a movie, you’d be on the edge of your seat... As this is only a brief summary in writing, being on the edge of your seat won’t happen.
It started with many different species, handcrafted with care by the Goddess who adored her world. However they were allowed to grow and change as they would. Eventually species resembling humans came about, then elven creatures. They coexisted, though as time went on they began to dislike each other. Squabbles broke out and they stayed in two different groups. However, a clever elven boy and a stubborn human girl started to bring the two species together once more.
At last a variety of groups had elves and humans working together. As one can guess, a hybrid of the two eventually came about. And, of course, developed. From elves and humans there came many more.
From all the species there came more, until a diverse variety of plants and other species populated Adricta. Civilizations of multiple species, species that kept to themselves, and many different species that intermingled as well.
Favored by not only the Goddess but Tren as well, Adrictans enjoyed peace and blessings from the ones they worshipped. There was some war, and some fighting, but for the most part things were good.
This, however, changed. The God Calsev, angered by the Goddess’s choice of her husband over him, came to Adricta. He began to call himself Calvin; by force he began assembling a Kingdom. Several civilizations fell to him as he gathered land and citizens. The Kingdom he called Calsevor, after himself, though the Adrictans did not know this. The citizens lived in terror. He was a vicious master, though with one massive rebellion that nearly overthrew him he became... not kinder, but less strict and more lenient. He began to dictate things in a different way. With enough harshness to keep people from speaking out, but enough leniency to keep them from a rebellion. It took him a couple of centuries to find the balance.
Meanwhile, during these centuries, there was a movement. Jhodin, Tren’s brother, was on Adricta, and he was changing things. People began to believe in him as the only God - and more believed he was a Savior, or the only true God, and many other wild things. In this time, he took many wives - only one at a time - and had many children.
At last Jhodin’s legend began to spread, and so did the idea of Hanye - Tren’s youngest child, or perhaps... She was Jhodin’s child. Only the Goddess knew the truth, and she did not say either way... leaving both Tren and Jhodin to doubt.
Hanye, however, looked for Jhodin, who stayed hidden from her. Where she went, she gave gifts, and offered her friendship.
Indeed, as Calvin finally mastered the balance of rule, Hanye became well-known, the new patron Goddess of Adricta. Though the Goddess and Tren would always be the first, and always be worshipped.
However, the Gods drew back from Adricta. Jhodin remained, as did Hanye, but neither of them were as active as before. As the Gods drew away, there came new ideas - that perhaps the Gods weren’t Godly at all, but merely overpowered immortals has had been seen in the past. And a less radical idea, that the Gods did not deserve worship - not a single one of them.
These ideas angered the Gods, and from those who had those ideas - especially the first one. Of course they were Gods! - they placed curses upon them.
Their vengeance was vicious, but it didn’t stop the ideas.
At last, the Kaddekians arrived on Adricta. They were treated with suspicion, but with blooming romances the suspicion was quickly lost. The Kaddekians gained the status of sapiency on Adricta, and with their odd hybrids they integrated into society quickly.
A new breed was being formed... technomagic. Combining Adrictan magic with Kaddekian technology, they created powerful healing things. That was the first thing that they did... For healing was the most treasured ability on both their planets.
However, the technomagic was still treated with some mistrust... due to the fact, of course, it was new and radical.
And this is where our story begins...
